On Making a Website and Taking Yourself Seriously

May 31, 2025

Wow. I wanted to make a website that could house all of my art. Not that a website would provide that much utility, but it would be nifty to have. Well, a friend of mine said, "hey, you should make one on github". And I'm an idiot, so I said, "okay!" I did not know what github was, nor did I know how the hell websites work. Can't say I know much about either still, but I know more.

Despite the hours I spent trying to learn it, I'm not using github anymore. I'm using astro. Do I know what that means? Not really. But I'm using it. Oh sure, ChatGPT is helping me a lot, but I mean, oh well? I'm not a web developer, I'm a mediocre writer, okay? We all need a little help sometimes.

Now look, I'm still figuring out what the hell I'm doing here, but really, that's all I've been doing for the past 27 years. Sometimes I think the only thing I really know to do is to create. Cliche, sure, but true. And I've always been fascinated when looking at pointes where the truth and cliches merge.

Anyways, that's enough out of me for now. Although I guess with an audience of zero, I don't really have any limitations. But I do need to figure out how to make sure this actually gets posted. So let me go that, and I'll return to pontificate at a later time.
